Bank Accountant opening - denovo bank - Newton, MA

Walden's client is a startup bank in Newton, MA seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual to work in the Accounting/Finance Division reporting directly to the CFO.

This bank is going to change the face of small business banking as we know it and will set a new benchmark in customer service excellence, no matter what the industry.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as an accountant at a banking institution
MUST be familiar with the accounting process for banks or financial institutions, and have an understanding of the daily process, the monthly closing process and reconcilements. Familiarity or experience in filing the FDIC Call Report would be preferable, as well as exposure to the basic concepts of Asset/Liability Management.
PREFERRED experience or exposure to loan and/or deposit operational areas.
MUST be a self starter, possess strong computer skills and have a detail oriented approach.
BS in Accounting or Business Administration
